Ivaldi Group to participate in the SAP.iO Foundry New York Fall 2020 virtual accelerator program

NY & San Leandro, CA – September 23, 2020

Through this program focused on Retail, Manufacturing, and Automotive Technology, Ivaldi Group will work with SAP to provide SAP customers with real-time business intelligence and logistical solutions for the digital storage and distributed manufacturing of spare parts

“We’ve spent the last couple of years working with customers to transform their physical inventory by storing parts in the cloud and then 3D printing them locally on-demand.” Says Espen Sivertsen, CEO of Ivaldi Group. “For a growing number of categories, sending files rather than parts is good for the environment, good for local job creation, and great for the bottom line. We’ve found that the first step is for customers to understand what parts they have that can be taken digital and what the business and environmental case for each part is. So we’ve built software that helps them do so.”

Actionable insights are crucial for any SAP customer dealing with spare parts as companies look to go digital with their physical inventory. Drawing on proprietary datasets as well as machine learning and natural language processing, Ivaldi is able to rapidly and cost-effectively analyze spare part inventories and provide unique digitization insights and solutions not currently available anywhere else in the market. This has been successfully implemented in the Manufacturing, Automotive, Mining, and Maritime industries, where companies frequently find themselves spending as much capital on transportation and storage as on the actual parts themselves. High levels of supply chain disruption have compounded issues around carry costs and spare parts shortages this year.

“Digitalization is advancing enterprise business progress more than at any other time in history,” said Vanessa Liu, head of SAP North America Foundries. “Understanding that startup innovation can drive value for our customers and partners in these industries in a post-COVID-19 global society, we welcome these entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds to the SAP.iO family.”

“This is a significant milestone for the supply chain industry,” says Stefani Pellinen-Chavez, COO of Ivaldi Group “Up until now it has simply not been possible for companies dealing with spare parts to get accurate business intelligence on what parts to take digital. SAP and Ivaldi are now changing that. We aim to transform the spare parts supply chain.”
